Job summary

SoftwareOne Colombia seeks an AWS Cloud Administrator to operate and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will keep platforms secure, reliable, and cost-optimized, using full automation (Terraform, Python) and AI-assisted operations.

You will work with a global team in Medellín, delivering scalable, well-governed cloud environments and ongoing cost-management initiatives across the AWS stack.

Qualifications

• Experience administering AWS environments in production.
• Solid knowledge of AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, load balancers).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation).
• Python scripting for automation.
• Experience with containers (ECS/EKS/Docker) and cloud governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and FinOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage AWS infrastructure under the AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and Python.
• Manage security: IAM, data protection, vulnerability remediation, automated incident response.
• Design and maintain resilient architectures: Multi-AZ, self-healing, DRP.
• Support intelligent operations by integrating AI tooling for automated support and monitoring.
• Drive FinOps and performance optimization, including serverless architectures.

AWS Cloud Administrator

We are looking for an AWS Cloud Administrator to operate and evolve our cloud infrastructure on AWS. In this role, you will keep our platforms secure, reliable, efficient, and cost-optimized, relying on full automation (Terraform, Python) and AI-assisted operations.

What will you do in this role?

• Operate and manage AWS infrastructure under the 5 pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework: Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, and Cost Optimization.
• Automate infrastructure and changes through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Python scripting.
• Manage security: identity and access management (IAM), data protection, vulnerability remediation, and automated incident response.
• Design and maintain resilient architectures: Multi-AZ, self-healing, and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP).
• Support intelligent operations by integrating Kiro (our internal AI assistant) for automated support, predictive monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives (FinOps) and performance efficiency, including the use of serverless architectures.

What we need to see from you

• Experience administering AWS environments in production.
• Deep knowledge of AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, load balancers, security groups).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation).
• Python scripting skills for automation.
• Experience with containers (ECS/EKS/Docker) and cloud governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and FinOps practices.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
