Utopia Design in Colombia seeks a dynamic AV & BMS Design Engineer to support design development for luxury villas and boutique hotels worldwide.

You will collaborate with architects, interior designers, and engineers, delivering intermediate results weekly and coordinating with a MEP design manager. Excellent communication, autonomy, and proficiency in AutoCAD are essential, with English proficiency for international projects.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical or Building Engineering with AV & BMS concentration.
• 4 to 10 years of design consultancy or GC experience.
• Experience on low-rise residential and hospitality projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Professional level of English, written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Design AV & BMS systems for luxury villas and boutique hotels.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and engineers.
• Participate in spatial coordination with architectural and structural models.
• Timely resolve technical issues during the design phase.
• Lead development of drawings, documentation, and system specs using CAD with BIM support.
• Perform market research for updated features and equipment.
• Oversee equipment selection aligned with project needs and sustainability goals.
• Provide input during value engineering to balance cost and quality.
• Supervise deliverables from third-party designers/consultants.
• Stay updated on technologies, trends, and regulations in AV & BMS.
