Job summary

Amadeus in Bogotá is seeking an Associate QA Engineer to prepare test environments, design test plans and cases, and execute both manual and automated tests for our Customer Management system. You will collaborate with Product Analysts and Developers, develop and maintain QA documentation, and support production features.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in IT/CS, 3–5 years QA experience, strong manual and automated testing skills, and experience with AI-assisted coding tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in software QA or testing.
• Proficiency in manual testing techniques and automated testing tools.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools to develop test automation scripts.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

• Provide sign-off recommendations (go/no-go) for tested features based on exit criteria.

• Open defects for software or documentation, assign severity based on impact, and provide information for investigation and resolution.
• Communicate testing progress, results, risks and issues to managers, Developers, Product Analysts and others.
• Provide production support to customers for tested features.

Summary Of The Role

As a QA Analyst, your mission is to prepare test environments and data, develop test plans and cases, and execute manual and automated tests for our Customer Management system. You will validate features and fixes, document results, report defects, and help provide reliable travel experience for our customers.

• Collaborate with Product Analysts and Developers to understand business requirements and define test scenarios.
• Prepare test environments and test data, and develop and execute manual test cases.
• Provide sign-off recommendations (go/no-go) for tested features based on defined exit criteria.
• Identify test cases suitable for automation and execute automated test scripts using Unified Functional Testing (UFT).
• Develop and maintain QA documentation, including test strategies, test cases, automated test scripts, and test results.
• Open defects for software or documentation, assign severity based on business and technical impact, and provide the information required for investigation and resolution.
• Communicate testing progress, results, risks and issues to managers, Developers, Product Analysts and other relevant stakeholders.
• Provide production support to customers for tested features.

About The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's Degree (Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration w/ IT experience)
• 3 to 5 years of experience in software QA or testing roles.
• Proficiency in manual testing techniques and automated testing tools.
• Ability to use AI-assisted coding tools effectively to develop, improve, and maintain test automation scripts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with people across different disciplines and roles.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
