Job summary

AECOM seeks an Associate Director - Architecture (Data Centers) to lead design and delivery for hyperscale data centers from Bogotá. You will guide architecture from concept through commissioning, coordinating with MEP, structural engineers, and commissioning agents.

You will drive energy efficiency, modular design, and sustainability under Sustainable Legacies, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development with technical insights and compelling proposals.

Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture (required) and 8+ years dedicated to large-scale data-center design and delivery.
Expert-level proficiency in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, BIM tools).
Experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams and leading large projects.

Responsibilities

Serve as data center design and delivery expert, applying advanced principles to hyperscale and edge data centers.
Lead architecture, drive energy efficiency, modular design, and sustainability initiatives.
Manage architectural programs from concept through commissioning across hyperscale campuses and colocation facilities.
Plan and oversee detailed phases to meet client requirements, schedules, and budgets.
Guide multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff in data center design principles.
Support business development with technical insights and compelling design narratives.
