Job summary

Amadeus IT Group Colombia, S.A.S. is seeking an Associate Business Information Security Specialist to support platform-scale security operations and engineering across infrastructure, cloud, and network security.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, IT Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Bring typically 2-5 years of relevant experience in information security, infrastructure operations or security engineering, including internships or graduate roles.
• A foundational understanding of infrastructure, operating systems, network security and vulnerability management, and can read architectural diagrams, document findings and follow defined security processes.
• Exposure to Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform, plus basic scripting or automation, is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of cryptography, PKI and network segmentation is beneficial.
• Communicates clearly, thinks analytically, remains curious and is motivated to learn in a collaborative environment.
• Holds, or is willing to obtain, a foundational certification such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Azure AZ-900, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or ITIL Foundation.
• Additional cloud, security engineering, ISO 27001 or network security credentials are a plus.

• Manage operational security requests and ServiceNow tickets, including vulnerability triage and Amadeus Unified Descriptor (AUD) approvals, with clear documentation and timely resolution.
• Perform initial vulnerability assessments, evaluate risk and business impact, and coordinate remediation with platform and development teams.
• Contribute to the evolution of the AUD security product by supporting backlog items, documenting architectural decisions and enabling security automation.
• Support security standards, policies and controls, including evidence collection, exception handling and alignment with PCI, ISO, SOC and GDPR requirements.
• Assist with project security reviews, monitoring use cases, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) governance and network security zone assessments, with guidance from senior engineers.

About the Business Area/Department: Platform & Infrastructure Security (PIS) protects and strengthens the technology foundations that power Amadeus. We work across infrastructure, cloud and network security to improve operational security, reduce risk and enable secure platform services at scale.

Role Summary

You will support platform-scale security operations and engineering, helping manage vulnerabilities, evolve security products and strengthen controls. Working with experienced colleagues, you will build hands‑on expertise across infrastructure, cloud, network security, PKI and emerging areas such as Post‑Quantum Cryptography.
