BairesDev®, a global technology company with 15+ years delivering cutting-edge solutions, and a 4,000+ remote team, seeks a Software Engineer specializing in Apache Iceberg to implement open table formats on data lakes for high-performance analytics.

You will enable schema and partition evolution, optimize multi-engine access with Spark and Trino, and help design storage standards and metadata strategies in a fully remote, flexible, USD-compensation environment.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in software or data engineering.
• Proven expertise implementing Apache Iceberg for open table formats on data lakes.
• Experience managing schema and partition evolution in distributed environments.
• Hands-on with Spark and Trino.
• Advanced English language proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement Apache Iceberg table formats for ACID transactions on large-scale data lakes.
• Enable and manage schema and partition evolution without downtime.
• Optimize multi-engine access across Spark, Trino, and other engines.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion and compaction processes.
• Collaborate with data teams on storage standards and metadata management.
