Scotiabank in Bogotá, Colombia seeks an Advisory Programmer Analyst to join the Caribbean Insurance Technology team. The role focuses on maintaining and developing financial insurance applications, collaborating with product owners, and delivering robust technical solutions.

You will apply C#.NET and SQL, work with APIs using token authentication, and participate in an Agile environment while supporting business analysis and stakeholder communications.

Formación

• 3–5 years of IT experience, including a minimum of 2 years of advanced technical work experience.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Proficiency with programming languages: C#.NET, SQL.
• API integrations using token authentication.
• Knowledge of COBOL, DB2, Crystal Reports, GoAnywhere is an asset.
• Insurance and banking reconciliation knowledge is an asset.
• Familiarity with AIX shell scripts and job scheduling tools is an asset.
• Experience with RDMS such as MS SQL Server, Oracle or DB2.
• Understanding of web computing/system design.
• Understanding of service‑oriented architecture, cloud computing, microservices.
• Knowledge of networking, communications and online processing.
• Experience with development techniques such as debugging, testing, coding and use of productivity tools.
• Experience managing source repositories (CI/ Azure Pipeline / Urban Code).
• Familiarity with software packages used by the division: Office 365, Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, JIRA, Confluence.

Responsabilidades

• Support key development and back up as business analyst as needed.
• Develop and support systems that meet user requirements with strong analytical skills.
• Deliver proposals, provide user support and interact with team members and other departments.
• Guide the agile team to refine the product backlog and prioritize business value.
• Own solutions, ensure full integration and minimize technical debt; escalate when needed.
• Provide technical coaching and leadership within the team.
