Solvo Global is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager in Medellín, Colombia, to lead offshore accounting operations and produce US GAAP financial statements for managed properties. You will report to the Director of Accounting and mentor a Supervisors/Staff team in a highly visible role.

You will oversee month-end close, audits, internal controls, and financial reporting, including ASC-842 lease schedules and investments. Strong English and ERP experience are required.

Formación

• 5+ years of general accounting experience.
• Proven experience within the real estate industry, including property-level accounting.
• 3+ years of team management and leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP, financial processes, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel proficiency for large datasets and complex calculations.
• Hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite) and familiarity with Yardi.

Responsabilidades

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our offshore accounting operations in Colombia. In this highly visible role, you will oversee day-to-day accounting functions to produce accurate monthly US GAAP financial statements for managed properties.

Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, you will serve as the primary leader for a structured team of Supervisors and staff, providing mentorship, training, and operational guidance. This position requires deep expertise in real estate accounting, a strong command of US GAAP, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with our U.S.-based corporate team.

• Modality: 100% On-site
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (GMT-5)
• Language Requirements: Advanced English (B2+/C1)

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor, coach, motivate, and train the offshore accounting team in Colombia, overseeing supervisors and staff with a strong focus on operational excellence.
• Month-End Close & Audits: Coordinate month-end close procedures and support annual audits by providing complete documentation and assisting external auditors.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure full compliance with US GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal financial controls.
• Financial Oversight: Review and approve monthly adjusting and accrual journal entries, daily cash transactions, and property acquisitions with meticulous attention to detail.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly/quarterly financial statements, schedules for partners/clients, and fee schedules in accordance with management agreements.
• Specialized Accounting: Oversee lease schedules in compliance with ASC-842 requirements and record/reconcile investments in associates under GAAP and partnership agreements.
• Special Projects: Handle ad-hoc accounting duties and strategic projects as required.

What We Are Looking For

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

Experience:

• 5+ years of general accounting experience.
• Proven experience within the real estate industry, including property-level accounting.
• 3+ years of team management and leadership experience.

Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of US GAAP, financial processes, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (handling large data sets and complex calculations).
• Hands-on ERP experience (such as NetSuite). Familiarity with Yardi.
• Language Requirements: Advanced English (B2+/C1)
