Job summary

Jobifly is hiring an experienced Accounting & Finance Specialist for a 100% remote role based in Medellín, Colombia. You will manage end-to-end AR workflows, reconcile client accounts, and produce financial reports while applying US GAAP principles. Strong English (C1) and Excel skills are required.

The position focuses on accuracy, attention to detail, and proactive problem solving to ensure cash flow and balance integrity across client accounts.

Qualifications

• Experience with QuickBooks, bookkeeping, AP/AR and US GAAP concepts.
• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Advanced English (C1 level).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable workflows including posting payments.
• Reconcile client accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Follow up on aging portfolios to maintain cash flow.
• Perform monthly ledger reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve balance issues.
• Prepare financial reports and AR status updates.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play an integral part in managing complete accounting workflows, balance reconciliations, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping operations.

• Accounts Receivable & Cash Application:
• Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable workflows, posting incoming payments (wires, ACH, credit cards) with accuracy.
• Reconcile client accounts, identifying and resolving overpayments, short-pays, or billing discrepancies.
• Follow up on aging portfolios to maintain healthy cash flow and keep accounts up to date.
• Perform monthly ledger reconciliations and general financial record maintenance.
• Manage financial communication with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve balance issues.
• Prepare financial reports, AR status updates, and tracking metrics.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Solid experience in QuickBooks, bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general understanding or application of US GAAP principles.
• Education: University degree with administrative focus, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• Languages: Advanced / Fluent English (C1 level required).
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
• Skills: High attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, proactive problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Location: 100% Remote (Work from home in Medellin)
