Blossom, a U.S.-based fintech company, is seeking an Accounting Analyst to strengthen our finance function and accelerate close processes. The role emphasizes Sage Intacct, AP automation via Bill.com, and strong U.S. GAAP knowledge in a fast-paced, remote setting.

You will contribute to vendor management, cash reconciliations, month-end close, and management reporting, while collaborating with cross-border teams to support scalable financial operations.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with Sage Intacct required.
• Experience with Bill.com or similar AP automation platforms is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable & Vendor Management: process and pay vendor bills, ensure proper coding and approvals.
• Cash & Reconciliations: perform cash reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Month-End Close: assist in improving close timelines and post journal entries per U.S. GAAP.
• Systems & Reporting: standardize reporting in Sage Intacct and build management reporting package.
• Process Improvement: identify and streamline accounting workflows and collaborate cross-functionally.

We're looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Accounting Analyst with 2-4 years of relevant experience, who thrives in fast-paced environments and is comfortable working across multiple accounting platforms, including Sage Intacct. The ideal candidate delivers accurate and timely financial reporting, maintains strong controls over reconciliations and month-end close, and communicates clearly across teams to support a faster, more reliable close process.

About the Role

We are looking for a Accounting Analyst to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role is critical to strengthening and expanding our accounting function, with a direct impact on the accuracy and speed of our financial close, cash forecasting, and vendor management processes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, a solid grounding in U.S. GAAP, and thrives in a fast-paced, process-improvement-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

• Process and pay vendor bills accurately and on time, ensuring proper coding and approval workflows.
• Monitor and resolve sync/integration errors between Bill.com and other connected platforms (e.g., Intacct).
• Maintain strong vendor relationships by ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.

Cash & Reconciliations

• Perform regular cash reconciliations to support more timely and accurate cash forecasting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate/resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support the accuracy of expense tracking and classification.

Month-End Close

• Assist in driving improvements to the month-end close timeline, contributing to faster and more reliable financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting principles.
• Support the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.

Systems & Reporting

• Support the standardization of reporting within Sage Intacct across the organization.
• Contribute to the build-out of a management reporting package for internal stakeholders.
• Identify and help troubleshoot recurring platform integration issues (Bill.com, Intacct, and related tools).

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and reduce manual work.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A and other teams to support broader finance initiatives.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

Experience

• 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience working with Sage Intacct required.
• Experience with Bill.com or similar AP automation platforms is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual-basis accounting.
• Strong experience with accounts payable, cash/expense management, and account reconciliations.
• Demonstrated experience supporting or driving month-end close processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal); Spanish preferred given regional scope.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional and cross-border teams.
