Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care, lead assessment for care needs, and develop care programmes. The role includes initiating investigations, determining diagnoses, and discharging patients when appropriate.

The post holder will supervise juniors in MINTS Service, manage staff in absence of the Team Leader, and ensure effective communication across the multidisciplinary team. A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current revalidation and NMC Registration.
• Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level.
• Graduate Certificate in Urgent Care or Equivalent.
• Mints Major / Minor Injury practitioner / or Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
• Assess presenting conditions, initiate investigations, determine differential diagnoses and discharge when appropriate.
• Review treatment plans for less experienced staff and advise on discharge/referral.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team.
