Statkraft is looking for a Technical Manager Solar & BESS to lead the technical strategy and decision-making for projects in Santiago, Chile. You will manage engineering consistency and oversee the design of PV plants and battery storage systems.

The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in renewable energy, especially solar PV and storage projects, and will work in a diverse, inclusive environment that prioritizes safety.

Formación

• 10+ years of experience in solar PV, BESS, and renewable energy projects.
• Strong experience in design, procurement, and delivery of solar/storage projects.
• Experience leading teams and providing technical leadership.

We are looking for a Technical Manager Solar & BESS who will be responsible for leadingtechnical strategy and decision-making for Solar and BESS projects from development to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure engineering consistency and compliance with local regulations, grid codes, and Statkraft standards. Oversee design and optimization of PV plants and battery storage systems.
• Review and approve technical specifications, layouts, and key engineering studies (energy yield, electrical design, storage sizing).
• Support CAPEX optimization, value engineering, and technical risk mitigation.
• Lead technical input to procurement processes, including tender documentation, technical evaluation, and contractor selection.
• Support project teams through technical challenges, due diligence, and constructability assessments.
• Lead and develop Project Engineers across Brazil, Chile, and Peru. Allocate technical resources dynamically based on portfolio needs and project priorities.
• Ensure consistency of engineering standards and promote best practices across regions.
• Support capability development and ensure adequate technical support for project execution.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in solar PV, BESS, and renewable energy projects.
• Strong experience in design, procurement, and delivery of solar and/or storage projects.
• Experience leading teams, providing technical leadership in matrix organizations is mandatory requirement.
• Fluent English and Spanish required. Portuguese will be positively valued.
