Job summary

FLSmidth is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for Crushing Equipment to drive equipment and aftermarket sales in South American markets. The role requires deep crushing technology knowledge, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to build trusted relationships with mine sites, engineering firms, and OEM partners.

The candidate will engage customers, prepare proposals, and support contract negotiations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize lifecycle solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, or related discipline; equivalent industry experience accepted.
• 5-10 years sales or application experience in crushing equipment, comminution systems, or heavy industrial machinery.
• Strong technical understanding of crushing principles (reduction ratio, liners, product grading) and ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs and pain points to deliver value-add solutions that improve the client’s bottom line.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities for capital equipment, wear parts, and service packages.
• Prepare technical proposals, sizing calculations, commercial quotes, and tender submissions.
• Assist with contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and value-based selling initiatives to improve closing potential.
• Travel frequently to mine sites and customer operations to assess crushing circuits and bottlenecks.
