Insight Global’s client is seeking a hands-on Team Lead to guide an engineering squad focused on ERP integrations and accounting-related payment workflows. This person will lead both the technical direction and people development for the team, partnering closely with Product Management while remaining involved in architecture, API design, coding, delivery, reliability, and production support.

• 6 to 10+ years building production software systems end-to-end.
• Strong technical leadership incl. architecture reviews and mentoring.
• Experience leading engineers beyond tech, with coaching and growth focus.
• Backend focus in C#/.NET; other OOP languages okay.
• Frontend fluency with Vue.js or React.
• Strong system design incl. distributed services.
• Payments, FX, or regulated-industry experience preferred.
• SQL and relational DB fundamentals.
• Production AWS experience including SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda; CI/CD with release gating.
• Daily use of AI coding tools and a viewpoint on adoption.
• Strong written and verbal communication for tech to business audiences.

• Guide architecture, API design, engineering standards, code reviews, and incident response.
• Partner with Product Management on roadmap, sprint plans, and releases.
• Remain hands-on with complex engineering while solving technical challenges.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, feedback, 1:1s, pairing, and performance development.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams when integration work spans domains.
• Help establish best practices for AI-assisted development tools.

• 6 to 10+ years building production software systems, end-to-end.
• Track record of technical leadership in a software team: setting architecture, leading design reviews, mentoring engineers, and being accountable for a squad's technical decisions.
• Experience leading, developing, and supporting engineers beyond the technical, including coaching, regular 1:1s, feedback, and helping people grow and perform, as a meaningful part of the role alongside hands-on technical leadership.
• Strong backend proficiency in C# / .NET preferred; other OOP languages welcome (Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent).
• Working frontend fluency with Vue.js, React, or equivalent.
• Strong system design experience, including distributed systems and service-oriented or microservices architecture.
• Payments, FX, or regulated-industry experience.
• SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Production experience with AWS, including native services such as SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, and Lambda, and ownership of CI/CD pipelines including release gating (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
• Daily use of agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) across the SDLC, with a clear point of view on how a team should adopt AI.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to translate technical decisions for product and business audiences.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience integrating with ERP platforms such as Sage, Business Central, Dynamics 365 F&O, or Xero.
• Background leading teams that build fintech, payments, or money-movement products.
• Prior people management or formal performance management experience.
• Experience interviewing, hiring, or onboarding engineers.
• Experience supporting platform modernization, legacy system decoupling, or major refactoring efforts.
• Experience helping engineering teams navigate growth, modernization, or organizational change.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Oracle SQL, or similar enterprise systems.

Guide architecture, API design, engineering standards, code reviews, and production incident response for the squad.

Partner with Product Management on roadmap planning, sprint execution, delivery timelines, and release priorities.

Remain hands-on with complex engineering work while helping the team solve technical challenges.

Mentor and support engineers through coaching, feedback, 1:1s, pairing, and performance development.

Collaborate with adjacent engineering teams when integration work crosses into other systems or domains.

Help establish best practices for using AI-assisted development tools to improve how the team builds, tests, and ships software.
