Hatch is seeking a Tailings Operations Specialist to support the growth and implementation of our digital tailings solutions across global mining operations. You will apply tailings management expertise to improve governance, monitoring, and performance while collaborating with clients, consultants, and product teams.

• Significant experience in tailings management, mine operations, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of tailings facility operations, governance, monitoring and risk management.
• Experience leading operational transformation or large-scale implementation programs in mining or heavy industry.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese is an asset.

In this role, you will combine your expertise in tailings management, mining operations, and digital transformation to help clients improve governance, risk management, monitoring, decision-making, and operational performance. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and product teams to identify opportunities, shape solutions, lead implementations, and deliver measurable value across the entire client journey.

This role is an opportunity to help transform how mining companies manage one of their most important operational and governance responsibilities. The successful candidate will bring tailings expertise, commercial judgment and implementation leadership to clients across South America and globally, helping Hatch turn digital product capability into safer, more effective and more transparent tailings operations.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with mining clients to identify operational challenges and develop digital transformation opportunities.

What You Bring

• Significant experience in tailings management, mine operations, mine waste, water management, geotechnical governance, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of tailings facility operations, governance, monitoring, and risk management.
• Experience leading operational transformation, technology adoption, or large-scale implementation programs in mining or heavy industry.
• Proven ability to engage with senior client stakeholders and develop practical, value-driven solutions.
• Strong business development, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English. Portuguese is considered an asset.
• Ability to work effectively across diverse teams and influence stakeholders in a global environment.
