Bechtel invites experienced engineers to join our team in Santiago, planning, developing, coordinating, and reviewing plant design and piping work on large projects with specialized requirements. You will optimize facility layout based on diagrams, client needs, current technology, and maintenance considerations, ensuring design configuration and procurement requirements are met.

Formación

• Extensive knowledge & application of ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 codes.
• Well-developed computer skills and knowledge with all the Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of 3D computer aided design and computer aided engineering (CAD and CAE) tools applied to engineering design.
• Intermediate English level (desirable).

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, select and apply standard plant design and piping engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria for a small size project or assignment in support of a global business unit or staff group; include the preparation of original designs, layouts, details, drawings and specifications.
• Develop and interpret design criteria and specifications for most complex plant design and piping infrastructure in a global business unit.
• Examine and analyze pipe configurations for ANSI/ASME code compliance.
• Optimize facility layout based on piping and instrument diagrams, client requirements, current technology, and operational and maintenance requirements.
• Analyze problems with conflicting design requirements, sketch ideas and possible solutions.
• Analyze and report on the suitability of unconventional materials, techniques and/or difficult coordination requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, or prepare equipment, work and material specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations.
• Coordinate plant design engineering efforts with client, vendor, contractors, construction and other functional groups.
