Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Chief Data Integration Engineer to oversee large-scale data pipelines, drive architecture reviews, and guide a distributed team. The role blends hands-on technical review with strategic planning across data platforms.

You will collaborate with discovery teams to shape target-state designs and provide effort estimates for implementation, leveraging cloud-native data tools and modern stacks.

Qualifications

7+ years of Data Integration experience.
Experience leading and guiding teams (2+ years).
Strong grasp of ETL/ELT workflows and data warehousing concepts.
Background with AWS/Snowflake/dbt and modern data stack tools.
Direct experience using AWS Glue to build data pipelines.
Proficient in Python for data integration solutions.
Strong SQL and scripting abilities.
Fluent English at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

Examine existing data ingestion and transformation pipelines and assess design.
Review architecture docs and source code; apply accelerators to speed reviews.
Produce well-defined analyses and complexity evaluations to guide future direction.
Collaborate with discovery team to shape solution design and estimate effort.
