Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. is seeking a Lead Data Integration Engineer to drive analysis and improvements of large-scale data pipelines in a collaborative, international setting. You will balance hands-on technical work with strategic planning while guiding a growing data team.

The role requires experience in ETL/ELT, cloud-native data integration, and experience with Snowflake, dbt, AWS Glue, and Dagster. Strong Python and SQL skills are essential, with fluent English at a B2 level or higher.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Integration.
• At least 1 year of experience leading and managing teams.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and cloud-native integration.
• Hands-on with AWS Serverless stack, Snowflake, dbt, and modern data stack technologies.
• Proficiency in Python for developing data integration solutions.
• Strong SQL and scripting for data manipulation and automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and fluent English communication at a B2 level or higher.
• Nice to have experience with Dagster for orchestrating pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the current state of data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Review architecture documentation and source code in detail with accelerators.
• Produce clear analysis results and complexity assessments for planning.
• Collaborate with the discovery team on solution design and effort estimation.
• Guide improvements across the data landscape.
