Evalueserve is seeking an Investment Research professional in Chile to support budgeting, forecasting, and valuation work for portfolio companies. The role emphasizes building robust financial models and delivering data-driven insights to inform investment decisions.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in financial planning and analysis, strong Excel/VBA, and proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in PE or private markets and able to communicate clearly in English.

Responsabilidades

Forecast budgets and rolling forecasts across business units.
Build dynamic financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
Prepare presentations, dashboards highlighting financial and operating performance and other reporting data packs.
Analyze monthly financials and KPIs for portfolio companies.
Summarize monthly financials for quarterly reporting.
Track performance against budget, forecast and prior periods.
Identify trends, deviations, and underlying drivers of performance.
Screen and analyze target companies for potential acquisitions.
Build and update DCF and LBO models for lenders and investors; perform valuation.
Prepare investment memos and assist in due diligence processes.
Research potential funding sources.

Reports to: Senior Manager

Department: Investment Research

Location: Chile

Key Responsibilities

Forecasting & Budgeting:
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Build dynamic financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Support preparation of presentations, dashboards highlighting financial & operating performance, and other reporting data packs
Portfolio Company Support:
- Analyze monthly financials and KPIs for portfolio companies.
- Summarize monthly financials for quarterly reporting.
- Track performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Identify trends, deviations, and underlying drivers of performance.
Research and Valuation Support:
- Screen and analyze list of target companies for potential acquisition
- Build and update financial models, DCF and LBO models for lenders and investors and perform valuation
- Assist in preparing investment memo (research, analysis, presentation development)
- Assist in due diligence process including document and financial review
- Research on potential funding sources

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
4+ years of financial/ investment banking/private equity/buy side research experience.
Proven experience in financial planning and analysis.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and quantitative techniques.
Advanced Excel skills including proficiency in VBA and Knowledge of SQL and Python.
Knowledgeable in financial planning software and tools, such as SAP/SAC is a plus
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with effective communication and presentation abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Proficiency in databases – CapIQ, Thomson Eikon, Bloomberg, FactSet.
Strong understanding of private equity industry and their information needs.
Prior experience in project management, mentoring team members and conducting QC is essential
Excellent written English and presentation skills
