Liberty Mutual Surety in Santiago, Chile, seeks a Senior Accounting Analyst to implement the Finance module of the company's new core system. You will define the chart of accounts, accounting processes and financial configuration to support operations.

You will coordinate with the implementation team, manage month-end closing, ensure regulatory alignment, and document procedures for future use, while communicating with audits and finance partners.

Formación

• 5+ years of accounting experience in general insurance companies, ideally with exposure to local regulatory reporting.
• Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Commercial Engineering or similar.
• Fluent in English (writing and speaking).
• High ability to document processes and learn new systems, policies and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Act as Finance's counterpart to the implementation team during configuration, testing and go-live stages of the new core system.
• Define and build the chart of accounts, cost centers, and accounting processes required by the project; map tasks end-to-end and draft procedures/checklists during closing.
• Raise and prepare background information and configuration requirements with the implementation team.
• Execute the transaction record and generate month-end entries during go-live, validating balances before delivery to the regulatory reporting area.
• Design and execute parameterization tests with the rest of the implementation team.
• Document knowledge in a standard and reusable format to accelerate future stages of the project.
• Explain and defend the accounting parameters of the system before internal and external audits.
• Work with project management, Actuarial Operations, and Finance partners to integrate the new system into daily operation.

Liberty Mutual Surety has an excellent opportunity in Santiago, Chile for a Senior Accounting Analyst. In this role, you will implement the Finance module of the company's new core system: definition of the chart of accounts, accounting processes and associated financial configuration.

Responsibilities

• Act as Finance's counterpart to the implementation team during the configuration, testing and go-live stages of the new core system.
• Define and build the chart of accounts, cost centers, and accounting processes required by the project; map tasks from end to end and draw up new procedures and checklists during closing process.
• Raise and prepare background information and configuration requirements necessary for the start of the project, in coordination with the implementation team.
• Execute the transaction record and generate month-end entries during go-live, validating balances before their delivery to the regulatory reporting area.
• Design and execute parameterization tests with the rest of the implementation team.
• Document the knowledge acquired in a standard and reusable format, to accelerate future stages of the project.
• Be able to explain and defend the accounting parameters of the system independently before internal and external audits.
• Work with the project management team, Actuarial Operations, and partners within Finance, to integrate the new system into the daily operation.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Commercial Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in general insurance companies, ideally with exposure to local regulatory reporting.
• Previous work experience in implementing accounting or insurance policies administration systems is a significant plus.
• High expertise in monthly accounting closing, chart of accounts, and reconciliation processes.
• Fluent in English (writing and speaking).
• High ability to document processes and able to learn a new system, policies and procedures.
