BHP Chile is seeking a Specialist Safety to support the strategic management of safety-related issues, data analysis, and continuous improvement across the organisation. The role focuses on risk-informed decision making and building robust HSS reporting and dashboards.

The position requires an Engineering degree in Civil or Execution engineering, and at least three years of mining industry experience. You will collaborate across functions to drive 100% safety and continuous safety performance

Qualifications

• Execution Engineer or Civil Engineer.
• 3 years of experience in the mining industry.
• Strong adaptability to change and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to influence decision-making and work across teams.
• Experience analyzing data to support business or operational decisions.
• Experience developing reports and dashboards or performance indicators.

Responsabilités

• Manage safety risk management practices to improve safety outcomes and performance.
• Identify root causes and evaluate multiple solutions with a structured approach.
• Engage and manage a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess risks and make risk-informed decisions using the risk management framework.
• Develop, maintain, and improve HSS reporting, dashboards and indicators.
• Promote data-driven decision making and integrate insights into governance and reporting.
