Job summary

Outlier is a remote program inviting experienced software engineers to help train AI models by reviewing and scoring AI-generated code. You will flag issues, rate model responses, and craft clear CS prompts to push the models to improve code generation.

Ideal candidates have a CS degree and production-scale software experience, with strong English communication and meticulous attention to detail. This is a freelance, 1099 contract opportunity open to Latin America.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions—accuracy, instruction following, and presentation.
• Write clear, well-structured computer science prompts that challenge AI models.
