Outlier invites seasoned software engineers to join a remote QA coder program that trains AI models to generate, debug, and evaluate code. You will work flexibly from anywhere in Latin America as projects vary in complexity and interact with AI models during learning sessions.

The role focuses on reviewing AI-produced code, scoring responses, and crafting clear CS prompts. This freelance, 1099 contract opportunity pays up to $34 USD/hr with additional incentives.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase ideally for a technology company.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.
• Currently accepting applicants from multiple Latin American countries including Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay, Dominica, Belize.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions — accuracy, instruction following, and presentation.
• Write computer science questions: develop clear, well-structured prompts to challenge AI models and push coding ability.
