Outlier is seeking a QA Coder to join its AI training workflow and help improve model code generation. You will review AI-generated code, flag issues, and rate responses to guide improvements.

This is a freelance 1099 contract with flexible hours and remote work across eligible regions. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Computer Science, have production code experience, and communicate fluently in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase.
• Fluent written and spoken English; clear communication is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail including grammar, punctuation, and style.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions to improve accuracy and usefulness.
• Write clear, well-structured computer science questions to challenge AI models.
