Azumo, a San Francisco-based AI software development firm, seeks a hands-on Business Analyst for fully remote work across Latin America. You will translate complex business needs into actionable requirements, lead discovery, and craft user stories with acceptance criteria for engineering teams.

In this role you will collaborate across business and technical stakeholders, maintain a living requirements repository, and utilize AI tools to accelerate drafting and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development environments.
• Solid experience working within Agile environments, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Notion for backlog and documentation management.
• Professional English proficiency (C1/C2).
• Based in Latin America.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and engineering teams to elicit, document, and validate business requirements using interviews, workshops, and process mapping.
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows for development teams.
• Lead discovery sessions and contribute to product definition with artifacts, wireframes, data dictionaries, and gap analyses.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban) and ensure user stories meet Definition of Ready.
• Manage and prioritize the project backlog in JIRA/Notion with Product Owner to meet sprint goals.
• Validate delivered solutions against acceptance criteria and support UAT.
• Maintain living project documentation including user stories and release notes.
• Create prototypes to validate requirements with clients and stakeholders.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate requirements drafting and generate first-draft docs.
