Lifted, an Upwork Company™, is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and automation systems that support cloud cost visibility and performance insights. You will work with large-scale telemetry, usage, and financial data to empower Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to make cost-aware decisions.

The role emphasizes hands-on cloud data engineering with AWS, Snowflake, and data quality ownership.

Formación

• Strong data engineering foundation with end-to-end ELT/ETL pipelines in cloud environments.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with data workflow/orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, or Dagster.
• Hands-on AWS data ecosystem experience (Glue, Athena, Aurora).
• Experience with Snowflake.
• Experience processing data at scale.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience building/rest API integrations.
• Ability to optimize pipelines for performance and cost.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with data validation and production pipeline support.
• Enterprise experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end ELT/ETL pipelines in cloud environments.
• Build scalable datasets for cost visibility, attribution, usage analysis, and performance insights.
• Design data models and ingestion frameworks for telemetry and usage data.
• Develop automation and tooling to enable cost-aware decision-making across teams.
• Optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform query tuning and storage/compute strategy improvements.
• Build and maintain REST API integrations.
• Implement and support CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ensure data quality, validation, auditability, and consistency across workflows.
• Monitor and resolve production pipeline issues and data inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with Eng and Finance on cost optimization and insights.
