Bluelight is seeking a senior software architect to lead end-to-end system design for our growing client base. You will craft low-latency, secure, multi-tenant architectures on AWS, guide engineering teams, and shape our technical standards while mentoring across projects.

You’ll work with a distributed team on high-impact applications, collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders. A strong ownership mindset and proactive problem-solving will drive our success.

Formación

• 8+ years professional software development with 3+ years in architecture
• Experience designing low-latency AWS architectures with distributed components
• Experience with latency budgets (p95/p99) and durable commits in hot paths
• Experience designing audit/evidence systems and versioned data models
• Experience designing fail-open/fail-closed/degraded-state semantics and outage postures
• Proven experience architecting secure multi-tenant environments with RLS considerations
• Deep experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security
• Expertise in designing and building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience architecting SDK integrations to other services
• Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript across the stack
• Experience building capacity models and cloud cost/performance projections
• Experience establishing technical standards, reviews, and mentoring
• Experience producing architecture documentation and ADRs
• Experience presenting architecture decisions in client reviews
• Experience with AI coding assistants in daily development
• Background architecting large, complex end-to-end systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Extreme ownership and accountability for deliverables

• Experience in regulated domains (fintech, audit-heavy systems)
• Experience with event-driven design, queues, and caching at scale
