Job summary

Bluelight is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead software development initiatives, coordinating multiple teams across distributed environments. The role emphasizes client-facing leadership, risk management, and timely delivery of complex projects.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of PM experience, strong Agile/Kanban expertise, and excellent stakeholder communication, able to align technical teams with business goals in a fast-paced consultancy setting.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience managing software development projects.
• Experience delivering against fixed external deadlines with critical-path and buffers.
• Experience managing client dependency registers with dates, owners, escalations.
• Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes.
• Experience managing scope, budget, resourcing and timelines across multiple streams.
• Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, timelines).
• Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira or Asana.
• Strong stakeholder management including translating technical concepts for non-technical clients.
• Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks and dependencies.
• Background with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Extensive ownership and accountability for deliverables.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience managing software development projects
• Experience delivering against fixed, immovable external deadlines (e.g., product launches, trade shows) with critical-path and buffer management
• Experience managing a client dependency register with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths
• Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes
• Experience managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, integration timelines)
• Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting
• Experience with project management and tracking tools (Jira, Asana, or similar)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience translating technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives
• Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and dependencies
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams
