Formación

• 15+ years of experience in procurement, contracts and materials management.

Responsabilidades

• Lead procurement strategies balancing value, cost, quality, and risk.

• Confidential opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to lead the strategic sourcing and delivery for large-scale mining projects. This role is responsible for procurement strategy, supplier engagement, contract execution, expediting, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring project objectives are achieved through efficient, cost-effective, and timely procurement practices. Ideal for professionals with a strong background in mining projects, and managing complex procurement programs of at least over USD 200 million.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement strategies to achieve the best balance between value, cost, quality, and risk for project-related materials and equipment.
• Drive procurement planning and supplier engagement activities to support project delivery schedules and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain project procurement and delivery schedules, ensuring key milestones are clearly defined, documented, and effectively tracked.
• Facilitate and manage interactions with suppliers, contractors, and key project stakeholders.
• Coordinate and prepare Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and other competitive sourcing processes.
• Manage procurement information, supplier documentation, and delivery tracking activities, ensuring accurate reporting and schedule updates within project management systems.
• Oversee all stages of the procurement cycle, including vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, commercial recommendations, expediting, inspection coordination, goods receipt, and contract closeout.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• +15 years’ minimum experience in a similar role with past responsibility for procurement, contract and materials management.
• Previous experience in the mining industry or related.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or any other related degree.
