Worley in Chile is seeking an experienced HSE Project Manager to lead health, safety and environmental activities across mid to large projects. You will provide program guidance, partner with project teams, and report to the Project/Construction Manager on HSE matters.

Typical qualifications include a university degree and 10+ years in HSE with advanced English; in-office attendance three times per week in Santiago is required.

Objective

Provides Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project management and their teams with the necessary service relative to Health, Safety and Environmental activities and provides guidance to promote an effective HSE program. The position supports all project related initiatives and individuals in an effort to eliminate hazards in the workplace that could cause property damage, injury, illness or harm to the environment. Report operationally to the Project/Construction Manager on all HSE program and operational matters. Typically assigned to support mid to large projects.

Responsibilities

Global Level Summary: Seasoned Individual Contributors or Project Leader possessing a broad knowledge of principles and practices within a field of specialization and an understanding of business strategies, culture and work to achieve results. Able to develop conclusions from analyses and apply results to Worley business operations. Able to see patterns and trends, or understand how to proactively draw out or determine the questions that need to be answered. Decisions are typically based on extensive business acumen and seasoning and results achieved enhance the intellectual capital of Worley and affects its overall capability.

Decision Making: Proactively sets priorities related to complex situations having multi-project and/or organizational impact. Contributions are primarily technical rather than managerial. May be involved in guiding strategies.

Supervision Received: Works with self-initiated interaction with supervisor and self-initiated technical guidance. Influence over duties. Work is assigned only in terms of broad objectives to be accomplished, and is reviewed for policy, soundness of approach and general effectiveness. Work is reviewed to ensure conformity with policy and for coordination of other company departments.

Supervision Authority: Provide technical guidance to staff and may assign work. Reviews work for technical accuracy and adequacy. Plans, controls & reports on project work. May have direct reports and may make recommendations concerning selection, training, rating and discipline of staff.

Communication: Seasoned ability to inform and persuade on complex matters comes from recognition as subject matter expert. Utilized on complex and difficult problems.

Requirements

Typical Qualifications: University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Typically 10+ years relevant experience. Recognized as a specialist, providing consultation to others.

Systems, Processes & Tools: Advanced understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues. May be involved in the development of new systems, processes and tools.

Advanced English proficiency is required

In-office attendance is required three times per week in Santiago
