BHP Chile seeks a skilled Portfolio Planner to support Digital Minerals Americas planning and delivery. You will work across Digital domains, finance, and regional asset teams to align strategy with execution and to produce clear, decision-ready materials.

In this role you’ll drive disciplined planning, track performance, and support governance routines while building strong relationships across domains and regions to enable timely, informed decisions.

The challenged Ahead

This role will support integrated business planning, portfolio coordination and performance management for Digital Minerals Americas, translating regional strategy and asset priorities into an integrated and executable plan. The role works across the four Digital domains, regional delivery teams, Technology, Finance and the Minerals Americas assets to provide an integrated view of priorities, investments, resources, dependencies, value and delivery performance.

Key Accountabilities Include

• Coordinates the integrated Digital Minerals Americas planning process, consolidating regional strategy, domain plans and asset priorities into annual and longer‑term portfolio plans.
• Maintains an integrated view of the Digital Minerals Americas portfolio, including delivery milestones, financial performance, value, risks, dependencies and resourcing.
• Coordinates inputs across the four Digital domains, identifying synergies, overlaps, gaps and cross-domain dependencies.
• Supports portfolio prioritisation and resource planning by providing consistent analysis of value, strategic alignment, delivery confidence, capacity and financial implications.
• Coordinates budgeting, forecasting, OPEX and CAPEX planning and variance analysis in partnership with Finance and domain teams.
• Tracks portfolio performance and identifies emerging delivery risks, financial variances, capacity constraints and dependencies, supporting teams to define appropriate actions.
• Supports governance and management routines across Digital Minerals Americas, including portfolio reviews, planning cycles, performance discussions and leadership reporting.
• Coordinates regional submissions and reporting, ensuring quality and consistency across domain inputs and providing a clear regional view.
• Prepares decision‑ready materials and insights for senior leadership, translating complex portfolio, financial and delivery information into clear options, trade‑offs and actions.
• Drives disciplined use of portfolio, planning and financial information, improving data quality, transparency and consistency across Digital Minerals Americas.
• Supports continuous improvement of planning processes, management routines and ways of working across Digital, Technology, Finance and the assets.
• Builds strong relationships across regional, domain and asset teams to enable alignment and effective execution of the Digital portfolio.

You Have

• A qualification or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Technology or a related field.
• Experience in business planning, portfolio management, PMO, program delivery or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to understand value, cost, risk and delivery trade‑offs.
• Experience coordinating complex activities across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear insights and decision‑ready materials.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience working in complex, cross‑functional environments.
• Advanced English communication skills. Spanish is highly desirable.
