Infosys Chile is seeking an experienced Hosting Operational Continuity Engineer to administer and remotely govern the Industrial Application Server Platform. The role requires 7x7 12-hour shifts and strong expertise in virtualization, storage, and server management.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in large IT infrastructures, hands-on VMware, Windows Server, Linux, and backup technologies, and a track record of incident resolution within SLAs. English proficiency is desirable.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• At least 5 years in management and operation roles of large IT infrastructures.
• Experience supporting incidents related to server, virtualization, storage and backup platforms.
• Experience in incident handling and meeting SLAs/KPIs for clients.
• Proven experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, vSphere, vCenter, vCloud, VMware View, vRealize, vSAN, NSX, Microsoft Hyper-V).
• Experience upgrading virtual platforms using VMware vSphere upgrade, P2V V2V Migration, Server Migration and PowerShell scripting.

Responsabilidades

• Provide SME to solve priority problems and implement complex, secure work systems.
• Comply with client platform standards and processes.
• Perform root cause analysis for complex problems to reduce downtime.
• Implement equipment and VMs into control inventory for the platform.
• Record servers, disks, backups and VMs into remote access monitoring tools.
• Monitor the platform proactively and support capacity management.
• Execute incident resolution, change requests, service requests, and problem investigations.
• Lead incident investigations for high-priority events and deliver RCA insights.
• Support CMDB population and updates.
• Maintain diagrams and documentation of the platform.
• Configure and resolve Windows file system errors and migrate Windows OS versions.
• Configure Windows services (DHCP, DNS) and security practices.
• Manage storage platforms and backups (EMC, NetApp, VMAX, VNX, Unity, XTREMIO, Data Domain).
• Knowledge of firmware upgrades using iDRAC, ILO, OneView.

The Hosting Operational Continuity Engineer will be responsible for the administration and remote governance of the Industrial Application Server Platform, a platform that corresponds to the physical technological equipment in charge of processing the software that executes the productive processes of the client's business. The work modality for this position will be in 7x7 shifts of 12 hours

Mandatory

• Information technology professional with at least a bachelor's degree or higher
• Experience of at least 5 years in management and operation roles of large IT infrastructures
• Experience in supporting incidents related to server, virtualization, and storage and backup platforms
• Experience in incident handling and meeting SLAs/KPIs for clients
• Proven experience in managing and operating platforms with virtualization technologies (VMware, VSphere, vCenter, vCloud, VMware View, vRealize, vSAN, NSX, Microsoft Hyper-V)
• Experience upgrading virtual platforms using VMware vSphere upgrade, P2V V2V Migration, and Server Migration along with PowerShell scripting capabilities
• Troubleshooting skills in ESXi using command line
• Experience backing up virtual machines using products such as VEEAM and VMware Data Protection
• Server Platform Expertise (Cisco Unified Computing Systems, HP, Dell, IBM)
• Demonstrable knowledge of Linux OS (RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.)
• Administration, coordination, and deployment of software updates and application of patches and hotfixes on servers
• Experience creating and modifying scripts for the execution of repetitive tasks
• Experience in mass machine patching methodology
• Experience in storage management in VMware and Linux environments
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and 2022 platforms
• Experience analyzing Windows events to identify application or operating system failures
• Windows patching experience using SCCM and WSUS
• Active Directory experience in multi-domain and multi-forest environments (AD Policy Management)

Nice to Have

• Written and spoken knowledge of English (Desirable)
• Desirable certifications on customer platforms (VMware, Linux, Windows)

Key Responsabilities

• Provide subject matter expertise (SME) to solve priority problems, implement complex and secure work systems, using existing work management processes in the client's environment
• Comply with the technological standards and processes of the client's Industrial Application Server Platform.
• Perform root cause analysis for complex problems, of Industrial Application Server platform maintenance activities with the goal of reducing failure rates (MTBF) and downtime of customer equipment,
• Execute implementation tasks and incorporation into the control inventory of the processing equipment (physical servers and virtual machines that run on said equipment) that make up the client's Industrial Application Server Platform,
• Enter the servers, disk and backup systems, and virtual machines that make up the Industrial Application Server Platform of the customer's network into the remote access monitoring and connection tool.
• Perform proactive monitoring of the client's Industrial Application Server Platform.
• Support the capacity management of the client's Industrial Application Server Platform.
• Execute service activities for incident resolution, change request execution, service request fulfillment, and problem log investigation.
• Lead incident investigation for high-priority events, providing post-implementation change review information and relevant information in cases where an RCA (Root Cause Analysis; Root Cause Analysis).
• Support in the population and updating of the CMDB (Configuration Management Database; Database of equipment configurations).
• Safeguard the documentation and keep the diagrams of the client's Industrial Application Server Platform updated.
• Experience configuring and resolving Windows file system errors
• Experience migrating Windows operating systems from old to new versions
• Experience configuring Windows services (DHCP, DNS)
• Windows Platform Securitization Expertise
• Management and support knowledge of platforms such as EMC VMAX, VNX, Unity, XTREMIO, VPLEX, Pure
• Knowledge of backup technologies such as Commvault, Avamar, Data Domain
• NETAPP FAS and E-series Administration and Support Skills
• Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fiber Channel, Enterprise Storage Arrays, Data Replication, HSM)
• Knowledge of firmware upgrades using management tools such as Dell iDRAC, HPE ILO, HPE OneView
