Pacificacontinental is looking for an Application Engineer in Santiago, Chile, to design and implement IT systems according to digital demands. The role requires extensive experience in Azure, DevOps, and programming languages such as C# and Python.

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in Engineering and have certifications in cloud technologies. Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English are preferred.

Our client is looking for anApplication Engineer, an IT specialist who will use his/her highexpertise to design, implement and operate technologies and information systems according to thedigitalization demands, ensuring a structured growth of the enterprise architecture within thecompany.

Application Engineer

Competences

• Six (6) years of experience designing, implementing, and operating technologies and information systems preferably in global organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to work with Infrastructure as Code “IaC” practices
• Experience in Microsoft Azure services beyond basic IaaS functionality and proven knowledge with DevOps Platform like GitHub, Jenkins, Docker Azure DevOps, Selenium, Jira & Confluence among others.
• Expertise in all phases of the software development life cycle and solution delivery for web, client-server, and cloud-based systems.
• Proven ability to embrace, use and promote modern development practices (DevOps, Agile, CI/CD, cloud-native design, and Release pipelines as well as code-driven workflows)
• Proven foundational infrastructure skills, including architecture principles and design patterns of distributed systems in private and public cloud
• Skilled in modern software architecture, scalability, reliability and in RESTful APIs and how they are used in the cloud
• Thorough understanding of Relational Data base ( Azure SQL, MS-SQL ).
• Technical, hands-on knowledge of various high-level programming languages and program development software alternatives, preferably: C#, Python, Java Script.
• Demonstrated growth from a Full-Stack Developer to a Senior Developer and ultimately an Architect within the Microsoft technology stack.
• Cloud Certifications AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305, Az- 400 are desirable.
• University degree in Engineering, any specialization.

Responsabilities

• Support the design and implementation of technologies and information systems according to the digitalization demands.
• Ensure that all aspects of new systems including technology, applications, and data comply to all our standards
• Ensure that applications, processes, and interfaces handle are scalable, reliable, modular, flexible, secure, and manageable.
• Support digitalization projects in close coordination with business users, suppliers, global and local IT team, ensuring to deliver on scope, time, quality and cost.
• Ensure the right transfer to operations to have an optimize support from Service Desk Team.
• Work in close coordination with suppliers to ensure a proper support of the IT solutions in operation.
• Implement measures to ensure various architecture principles are translated into solution architecture and then into engineering products/solutions to implementation
• Create related documentation such as RFPs, presentations, end-user guides, service quality reports, status report, among others.
• Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required from time to time.
• Comply to all Cybersecurity and global IT standards from corporate in every initiative.
