Job summary
EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Operational Intelligence Engineer to own the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our Elastic & Observability Platform across cloud environments. You will drive strategic initiatives, guide a high-performing technical team, and ensure platform reliability while enabling self-service capabilities for platform consumers.
The role includes on-call rotation to oversee health and functionality.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Operational Intelligence or observability leadership.
- Proven ability to architect and manage Elastic clusters across multi-clouds.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python) and IaC tooling.
- Experience with incident management and on-call rotations, with clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Elastic & Observability Platform across cloud environments.
- Provide technical leadership during incidents and drive rapid resolutions during on-call periods.
- Oversee platform reliability, capacity planning, and cost optimization at scale.
- Mentor team members and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors.
- Architect PoCs for platform innovation (AI-driven observability, data processing, Kubernetes migrations).
