• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or AI Engineering.
• Proven expertise in building and optimizing RAG systems, vector stores, and embedding pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and developing asynchronous APIs using FastAPI and SQLAlchemy.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM APIs in production and implementing MLOps practices.
• Experience mentoring teammates and aligning with stakeholders.

Lead AI Engineer (Python) at BairesDev

As a Lead AI Engineer (Python), you will guide the technical direction and implementation of advanced artificial intelligence solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to design reliable, production-grade applications that leverage cutting-edge retrieval and modeling architectures.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance AI systems and data retrieval pipelines.
• Build robust and highly performant APIs to expose AI capabilities to downstream enterprise applications.
• Establish best practices for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining intelligent services in production environments.
• Mentor engineering team members and align technical strategies with business objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust architectural designs.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in building and optimizing RAG systems, including vector stores, retrieval strategies, and embedding pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and developing asynchronous APIs using FastAPI, Pydantic, and async SQLAlchemy.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM APIs in production environments and implementing MLOps practices such as model registry and observability.
• Experience in team mentoring and stakeholder alignment.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
