Job summary

BHP Chile is seeking a Governance Lead to provide leadership across a portfolio of investments, guiding decision-quality recommendations for value-maximising capital decisions. The role offers exposure to senior leaders and the opportunity to influence critical investments.

You will coordinate investment governance deliverables, integrate multidisciplinary inputs, and drive alignment of assumptions and value drivers throughout study and approval cycles.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, reconcile diverse viewpoints and build alignment under challenging timelines.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and coordinating governance, investment and approval documentation for senior leadership or Boards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical, operational and executive audiences.
• Experience working on major capital projects, strategic investments or complex initiatives.
• Strong understanding of business case development, governance frameworks and value-based decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of governance deliverables for major capital projects, including papers and submissions.
• Act as governance focal point for capital investments and integrate inputs into clear investment narratives.
• Support robust investment cases and manage governance processes in line with Our Requirements and local rules.
• Define investment framing and ensure alignment across study deliverables and decisions.
• Navigate governance and executive reviews to achieve timely, decision-quality documents.
