Job summary

Grünenthal Group is seeking a senior professional for Manufacturing & Global Operations to drive process engineering and technology transfers across the network. You will support scale-up, troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues, and ensure GMP compliance while maintaining product quality and regulatory standards.

The role requires 10–15+ years in pharmaceutical operations with hands-on expertise in oral solids and multiple dosage forms.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical operations, process engineering, or technical manufacturing.
• Academic background in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
• Hands‑on expertise across multiple dosage forms and technologies, especially oral solids.
• Experience leading technology transfers and scale‑up between development, sending and receiving sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep technical expertise in granulation, blending, compression, coating, and process validation.
• Support new product introductions, process transfers, and scale-up activities.
• Lead complex manufacturing investigations and root cause analyses.
• Translate process science into high-scale production respecting GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the technical authority for manufacturing processes network-wide, focused on oral solids.

What The Job Looks Like

Each day you’ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

• Provides deep technical expertise in granulation, blending, compression, coating, and process validation, supporting manufacturing performance, technology transfers, troubleshooting, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new product introductions, process transfers, and manufacturing scale-up activities.
• Lead complex manufacturing investigations and root cause analyses.
• Translate process science and technology into commercial high scale production considering its requirements, constraints and implications
• Serve as the technical authority for all manufacturing processes across the network focused on oral solids with extension to other production forms
• Harmonize manufacturing process, enhance process technically, implement best practices in the network, supporting GMP activities and delivering technical trainings.
• Guarantee implementation of GMP rules and regulatory requirements across the network.
• Review and contribute to: Process validation documentation. Change controls, Deviations, CAPAs, Risk assessments

What You’ll Bring To The Table

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

• 10–15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical operations, process engineering, or technical manufacturing.
• An academic background in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
• Hands‑on expertise across multiple dosage forms and technologies, expert in oral solids / bulk manufacturing
• Demonstrated capability in process industrialization, scale‑up, validation, and commercial manufacturing.
• Extensive experience leading technology transfers between development, sending sites, and receiving sites.
• Proven skill in material flow analysis, process mapping, and troubleshooting transfer‑related challenges.
• Experience driving global process harmonization, standardization, and continuous improvement.
• Seasoned experience with Operational Excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• Strong GMP and regulatory knowledge.
