Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As Generative AI Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role.

You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them. You will work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to turn a documented roadmap of automation workflows into shipped, working systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software (Python or Node.js).
• Hands-on with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agent frameworks.
• Experience integrating OpenAI or Anthropic APIs (function calling, tools).
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and cloud deployment basics.
• Proficient in English for async collaboration with US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows and shipped automation systems.
• Turn automation roadmaps into working production features.
• Develop integrations across WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and internal CMS.
• Deliver MCP server integrations as part of AI stack.
