Bluelight is seeking a senior backend-focused software engineer to design and implement high-impact applications. You will contribute to API services, data models, and secure multi-tenant systems while collaborating with frontend teams and AI-assisted tooling.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, backend-focused.
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations, PostgreSQL/AuroraDB with RLS, secure multi-tenant environments.
• Proficient in raw SQL, migrations (node-postgres, node-pg-migrate), and React basics.
• Testing practices including integration tests against real databases and fault-injection.
• Ability to overlap US business hours and strong ownership of deliverables.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in compliance-sensitive or audit-heavy domains (e.g., fintech, telecom/TCPA compliance)
