IC Markets Global is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to oversee all financial activities in Chile, ensuring IFRS compliance, regulatory adherence, and accurate statutory reporting.

Based in Santiago, you will manage the general ledger, monthly closings, regulatory returns, intercompany reconciliations, and cash flow. The role requires 5–7 years in accounting, IFRS knowledge, and experience with Xero and MS Office.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 5–7 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Chilean tax regulations
• Experience working with regulated brokers in CFD/Forex space
• Experience working with entities under Chile Financial Market Commission
• Hands-on experience with Xero accounting system
• Strong MS Office skills and analytical capabilities

Responsabilidades

• Close monthly financials and report to Finance Team in UAE.
• Oversee the general ledger, reconcile accounts and ensure standards compliance.
• Prepare regulatory returns and other regulatory submissions.
• Perform intercompany and intra-group reconciliations and post intercompany invoices.
• Monitor budgets and forecasts.
• Manage banking relationships and cash flow.
• Process supplier invoices ensuring timely payments in coordination with UAE AP Team.
• Process payroll for the month and ensure deductions comply with laws in coordination with UAE Payroll Accountant.
• Ensure compliance with Chilean tax regulations and statutory reporting.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments as requested by management

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company in Chile, ensuring compliance with Chilean accounting standards, regulatory and tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly financials and reporting to Finance Team in the UAE
• Oversee the general ledger, including reconciliation of accounts and compliance with accounting standards
• Prepare regulatory returns and other regulatory requirements for submission to relevant authorities
• Perform intercompany and intra-group reconciliations and ensure timely booking of intercompany invoices
• Monitor budgets and forecasts
• Manage banking relationships and monitor cash flow ensuring sufficient funds for the company’s operations.
• Process supplier invoices ensuring timely payments as per AP process in coordination with the AP Team in the UAE.
• Process payroll for the month ensuring timely payment while also managing payroll-related deductions, contributions and compliance with relevant laws in coordination with the Payroll Accountant in the UAE.
• Ensure compliance with Chilean tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes
• Undertake ad-hoc assignment as requested by management

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Chilean tax regulations
• Experience working with regulated brokers in CFD/Forex space
• Experience working with regulated entities under Chile Financial Market Commission
• Hands-on experience of accounting systems such as Xero and good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
