Sterlington PLLC is seeking a Finance and Automation Manager to own day-to-day accounting, close processes, tax oversight, AP, and payroll, while leading a small team to build internal finance tooling. You will ship automation initiatives using AI coding tools and collaborate with the Finance Transformation Manager.

The role emphasizes hands-on ownership, strategic partnership with banking partners, and scalable accounting operations across a remote, full-time contractor framework.

Formación

• Strong hands-on technical accounting: ledgers, close, tax, AP, payroll.
• Proven people leadership — managing and developing a small team.
• Demonstrated ability to independently build and ship finance tools, dashboards, or automations using AI vibe coding tools.

Responsabilidades

• Own financials, month-end close, ad-hoc reports and models, cash flow, budgeting processes.
• Manage, coach, and develop an accounting team — balancing hands-on ownership with delegation.
• Oversee AP and payroll delivered by the team.
• Own cash oversight: monitor position and upcoming outflows, and coordinate with banking partners.
• Build and ship internal finance tooling end to end — dashboards, automations, and web apps.
• Partner with the Finance Transformation Manager to support strategic decisions.
• Act as the key accountability for accounting as the function scales.
