Andes Path is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead, mentor, and scale our software and systems teams while maintaining high standards of technical excellence and delivery.

In this role, you will bridge technical strategy and team execution, shaping our engineering culture, guiding architectural decisions, and ensuring engineers have the environment to excel. A fast-moving studio in LATAM values low-ego, pragmatic leadership and strong collaboration.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of Engineering Management experience or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of modern software engineering practices and distributed systems.
• Proven mentoring, performance management, and high-trust culture-building.
• Experience driving agile development and complex projects from conception to production.
• Fluent English communication skills bridging technical and business teams.
• Pragmatic, low-ego leadership in a fast-moving studio environment.

Description

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead, mentor, and scale our engineering teams while ensuring we maintain our high standards of technical excellence and delivery.

In this role, you will be the bridge between technical strategy and team execution. You won't just manage people; you will actively shape our engineering culture, guide architectural decisions, and ensure our engineers have the environment they need to do their best work. You will serve as a sounding board for technical leads, a career advocate for your direct reports, and a strategic partner to our clients and product managers.

We are looking for a highly empathetic, technically grounded leader who has transitioned from a senior individual contributor role to management and understands what it takes to ship complex software and hardware-integrated systems in an agile, fast-moving studio.

What You’ll Do

• Lead & Mentor: Manage a team of talented software and systems engineers. Guide their career development, conduct regular 1:1s, and provide actionable feedback to help them grow.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Partner with Technical Leads to review system architectures, ensure code quality, and establish engineering best practices that scale.
• Remove Blockers: Act as the ultimate unblocker for your teams. Anticipate technical and operational bottlenecks, manage cross-pod dependencies, and keep execution smooth.
• Partner on Delivery: Work closely with Program Managers and Product Leads to scope client initiatives, balance technical debt with feature delivery, and ensure commitments are met with high quality.
• Shape the Culture: Champion our low-ego, high-ownership culture. Lead hiring, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives to build a world-class engineering organization in Latin America.
• Stay Close to the Code: While this is primarily a management role, you should remain technically sharp and capable of diving into architecture discussions, participating in code reviews, and understanding the core challenges of our deep-tech stack.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of Engineering Management experience, with a prior background as a Senior Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar technical role.
• Technical Credibility: Deep understanding of modern software engineering practices. You must be able to hold your own in technical discussions regarding distributed systems, cloud architecture, or robotics/C++ integrations.
• People-First Mindset: Proven track record of mentoring engineers, managing performance, and fostering inclusive, high-trust team environments.
• Delivery Focus: Experience managing agile development cycles and driving complex projects from zero to production.
• Fluent English communication and the ability to seamlessly bridge the gap between highly technical engineers and business-focused clients or stakeholders.
• Pragmatic and low-ego, comfortable navigating the ambiguity of a fast-growing studio and willing to roll up your sleeves when the team needs support.
