BairesDev is seeking a Distributed Storage Engineer to design and maintain high-performance storage systems for enterprise-scale data. You will translate complex consistency requirements into robust, scalable software-defined storage solutions.

You will work with Ceph, MinIO, or S3-compatible systems, optimize replication, and ensure data durability while collaborating with global teams. This role is fully remote and offers strong USD compensation and flexible scheduling.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in software, systems, or distributed engineering.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Go, or Rust for storage systems.
• Hands-on with Ceph, MinIO, or S3-compatible storage solutions.
• Understanding of data durability, consistency models, and replication strategies.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement distributed storage architectures (object stores, block storage, file systems).
• Optimize storage performance and data integrity across large clusters.
• Manage and scale Ceph or MinIO clusters to meet growing data demands.
• Develop replication and sharding strategies for high availability and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate with infra teams to integrate storage with cloud-native and on-prem environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data consistency and latency issues.

Distributed Storage Engineer at BairesDev
As a Distributed Storage Engineer, you will architect and maintain high-performance storage systems that ensure data durability and availability at an enterprise scale. You will act as a specialist in data persistence, translating complex consistency requirements into robust, scalable software-defined storage solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement distributed storage architectures including object stores, block storage, and file systems.
• Optimize storage performance and ensure data integrity across large-scale clusters using C/C++, Go, or Rust.
• Manage and scale distributed technologies like Ceph or MinIO to meet increasing data demands.
• Develop and refine replication and sharding strategies to maintain high availability and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to integrate storage solutions with cloud-native and on-premise environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot complex issues related to data consistency models and system latency.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Distributed Systems.
• Proven expertise in developing and optimizing storage systems using C/C++, Go, or Rust.
• Hands‑on experience with distributed storage technologies such as Ceph, MinIO, or S3-compatible systems.
• Deep understanding of data durability, consistency models, and replication strategies.
• Proficiency in designing and managing distributed file systems, object stores, or block storage at scale.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
