Teaching with Telescopes in La Serena, Chile is seeking a DevOps Engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams, deploy, monitor, and maintain services, and resolve outages across time zones.

The role requires 3–6 years in DevOps/SRE, proficiency in Python/Go/Ruby, containers with Docker/Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, and English communication. On-site or hybrid teleworking options are available.

Formación

• 3–6 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related technical roles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Ruby.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, go test).
• Experience working with distributed systems and cloud-based environments.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git, including pull requests and code reviews.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Spoken and written English.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, deploy, configure, test, and maintain DevOps services.
• Support infrastructure deployment and provisioning processes.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and reporting tools.
• Maintain and improve configuration management solutions.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks with the team.
• Support performance tuning and availability of infrastructure.
• Build and maintain tools to improve developer and operational workflows.
• Manage urgent operational issues by leading or collaborating within teams to deploy essential services and resolve critical outages.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Mentoring less experienced engineers.
