The Association of Universities For Research in Astronomy, Inc. seeks a DevOps Engineer to join our Chilean team with global collaboration.
You will deploy, monitor, and maintain services, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to infrastructure and workflow improvements across time zones. You will work on-site in La Serena or via full or hybrid teleworking, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and help ensure reliable production environments while driving automation
The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams in Chile and internationally to deploy, monitor, and maintain services, troubleshoot operational issues, and contribute to ongoing improvements in infrastructure and workflows. This role requires a proactive mindset, a solid technical foundation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to solve moderately complex technical problems, operate independently, contribute to system design discussions, and support production environments. Occasional after-hours responsibilities may be required, as well as collaboration across multiple time zones.
