Job summary

Fluor Constructors is seeking an experienced engineer to support project leads on medium-difficulty assignments, delivering quality services and technical competence. The role involves applying standard engineering techniques, developing specs, and supporting procurement and vendor review processes.

Candidates should have a four-year engineering degree, professional registration (preferred), and strong communication, technical, and field skills.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree in engineering with four years of related experience.
• Ability to communicate with managers, coworkers, clients, vendors, and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work habits.
• Professional registration (preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, materials cost and availability.
• Practical field experience and basic computer/software skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply cost-competitive execution techniques for engineering work.
• Develop and review specifications and design criteria.
• Participate in procurement, permitting and subcontracting activities.
• Perform and check calculations and select equipment.
• Review vendor documentation for compliance and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze and recommend solutions to varying levels of complexity.
• Other duties as assigned.
