Job summary

Metso is seeking a Senior Manager/Manager, Data to develop and continuously improve enterprise-wide data management capabilities. You will lead an assigned capability area such as data strategy, governance, data quality, or metadata management, and translate strategic ambitions into operating models, processes, and ways of working across the organization.

You will shape how Metso treats data as a strategic asset, collaborating with business, data, and IT to deliver measurable value through AI,

Qualifications

• Experience with data governance, quality or metadata management initiatives
• Experience leading data initiatives in a global matrix organization
• Knowledge of data strategy, governance, metadata, master data, data architecture

Responsibilities

• Own an enterprise data management capability (governance, quality, metadata, or strategy)
• Define concepts, operating models, processes and governance practices
• Translate strategy into a capability roadmap and scalable initiatives
• Establish common ways of working across business, data and IT
• Define KPIs to monitor adoption and impact
• Facilitate governance forums and stakeholder alignment
• Act as trusted advisor to business leaders, data roles, architects, and IT
• Monitor industry developments and apply value-adding practices
