Wesco is seeking a Technician - Data Center to perform setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of data center hardware, servers and network devices in our Santiago area locations. You will handle hardware diagnostics, vendor coordination and get hands-on with RMA processes and site logistics.

Ideal candidates bring 2 years in an enterprise data center, CCNA/CCNP preferred, fluent English, and ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualificações

• 2 years in an enterprise Data Center environment with strong knowledge of data center best practices.
• CCNA and CCNP preferred
• Experience troubleshooting server hardware and Ethernet network connectivity issues
• Ability to travel 0% - 25%
• Fluent in English
• Valid driver’s license
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
• Basic computer skills preferred

Responsabilidades

• Perform weekly sweeps of server and storage equipment in the data center; collect and analyze diagnostic data.
• Diagnose server and storage connectivity issues; basic troubleshooting of network transceivers and fiber signals.
• Engage vendor support by opening cases and coordinating hardware fixes.
• Coordinate with operations to manage break-and-fix logistics and contractor access.
• Oversee RMA processes for components such as PDUs, switches, and field-replaceable units.
• Provide hardware support for installs, moves, adds, and changes; decommission IT equipment.
• Conduct regular physical inspections and maintain asset inventory accuracy.
• Update documentation for cabling and materials during new installations.
• Manage capacity: space, power, cooling, and patch panel availability.
• Follow incident/change management processes and report progress regularly
• Light travel between sites as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
