EPAM Systems in Chile seeks a Chief Full-Stack Developer with strong Java and React.js capabilities to lead and build scalable commerce platforms. You will guide architectural decisions, drive AI-driven checkout flows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance services.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, 2+ years of leadership, and cloud expertise in GCP/Azure, with English at B2 level or higher.

Formación

• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading and managing teams.
• Solid backend development background with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven production experience building Front-End components using React.js.
• Familiarity with Anthropic Claude Code.
• Skilled in building REST APIs and microservices.
• Exposure to AI-assisted or agent-based workflows and backend integrations.
• Openness to learning and adapting to new tools, patterns, and technologies.
• Cloud experience with GCP and/or Azure.
• Availability to work with overlapping hours in US Pacific Time.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain backend services supporting payment, loyalty, promotion, and other commerce domain systems.
• Facilitate AI-driven checkout flows equipped with appropriate validations and safeguards.
• Guarantee scalability, reliability, and compliance across all systems.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to shape technical solutions that support business objectives.
• Take part in code reviews to uphold strong standards for quality, performance, and security.
• Help shape architectural decisions that promote long-term system growth and stability.
• Identify and resolve intricate production issues promptly.
• Guide team members and support their ongoing technical growth.
