Qualifications

• 3-5 years IT-related education or experience.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016+ operating systems.
• Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, Root Certificate Services, & WSUS administration.
• Maintain and manage software inventory through automated and manual processes.
• Understanding of Active Directory Domain Integrated DNS Zones.
• Knowledge of DHCP Scopes over WAN.
• Good Windows troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Windows-based tools (Excel, Python, MySQL, Anaconda).
• Proficient in PowerShell and capable of learning programming (Python, Bash, Ansible).
• Familiarity with monitoring (Icinga2, Prometheus) a plus.
• Experience with NetApp FlexCache / SMB hosting a plus.
• Experience in mixed Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with automated provisioning tools (PXE, Foreman) a plus.
• Experience in configuration automation (Ansible) a plus.
• Strong IT technical and communication skills.
• On-site presence required.

Responsibilities

• Automate Windows server and workstation build, configuration, deployment, and administration tasks using PowerShell, CMD, and Python via Ansible and Group Policy.
• Configure and run Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SMB, and CA services reliably in a dynamic environment.
• Harden security infrastructure to ensure readiness for market events.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and continuity plans, focusing on gold copy backups of important data.
• Manage trade and support workstations, including procurement, provisioning, configuration, troubleshooting, replacement, and vendor liaison.
• Document new and established procedures to promote best practices across the company.
• Maintain Microsoft Windows environment, including naming conventions and inventory in NetBox.

Description

We are seeking a Junior Windows Systems Administrator to help maintain and automate our Windows infrastructure, manage servers and workstations, and support network services and security in a fast-paced trading environment.

Responsibilities

• Automate Windows server and workstation build, configuration, deployment, and administration tasks using PowerShell, CMD, and Python via Ansible and Group Policy.
• Help us configure and run Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SMB, and CA services reliably in a highly dynamic environment
• Harden our security technical infrastructure to ensure that our teams are ready to respond to the markets at a moment's notice.
• Help us build and maintain firm-wide disaster recovery and continuity plans, particularly focusing on systematically maintaining gold copy backups of important data.
• Manage our trade and support workstations as the need arises, including purchasing, provisioning, configuring, troubleshooting, replacing, and liaising with third-party vendors
• Document both new and established procedures to establish and promote best practices throughout the company
• Maintenance of the Microsoft Windows environment, including adherence to naming conventions and inventory management within NetBox.

Requirements

• 3-5 Years IT-related education or experience
• Experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016+ operating systems.
• Understanding of complex Active Directory, Group Policy, Root Certificate Services, & WSUS administration.
• Maintain and manage software inventory through automated and manual processes.
• Understanding of Active Directory Domain Integrated DNS Zones.
• Be able to manage and maintain Microsoft Server DHCP Scopes over WAN.
• Good high-level knowledge of Windows troubleshooting (Active Directory, logs, services)
• Experience with Windows-based tools and software troubleshooting (Excel, Python, MySQL, Anaconda)
• Extensive knowledge of PowerShell and Basic knowledge or willingness to learn programming (Python, Bash, Ansible)
• Experience in developing and maintaining monitoring automation (Icinga2, Prometheus) a plus
• Experience with NetApp FlexCache / SMB hosting is a plus
• Experience with mixed Windows and Linux environments.
• Understanding of automated provisioning tools (PXE, Foreman) is a plus
• Experience in managing and server configuration automation (Ansible) is a plus
• Good general IT technical and communication skills
